The Opportunity
As our Chief Technology Officer, you'll be the driving force behind ThinkMD's technology vision and execution. Working directly with our Chief Product Officer, and executive team, you'll balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise. You'll guide our product evolution and technology infrastructure as we expand across the Global South—a market of 6.5 billion people currently underserved by traditional healthcare systems.
What You'll Do
Strategic Leadership
- Define and implement ThinkMD's technology vision
- Lead R&D initiatives to drive innovation and competitive advantage
- Identify emerging trends and cutting edge AI/ ML technologies ThinkMD
- Represent technology initiatives at the executive level and to external stakeholders
Technical Architecture & Infrastructure
- Design and implement enterprise-wide technical architecture that scales globally
- Build robust data architecture and database management systems
- Ensure security, compliance, and effective risk management across all systems
- Develop and maintain infrastructure that works in varied technological environments
Team Leadership
- Build and mentor a high-performing engineering projects teams
- Manage and integrate deliverables from external outsourced engineering teams
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellencez
- Lead talent acquisition and development strategies
- Balance strategic oversight with hands-on technical guidance
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product, Medical, Commercial and Design teams to deliver exceptional healthcare solutions
- Collaborate across departments to ensure technological alignment with business objectives
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to all stakeholders
What You Bring
Experience & Education
- Degree(s) in Computer Science, Information Technology, and related field (Master's or Higher preferred)
- Extensive experience in technology leadership with proven success in strategic planning and execution
- Track record of building and scaling technology platforms in challenging environments
- Experience with global deployment, preferably in emerging markets
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, security frameworks, and enterprise architecture
- Proficiency in modern programming languages and software development practices
- Experience with cloud services, data management, and cybersecurity technologies
- Understanding of healthcare technology and regulatory compliance
- Immersed in all aspects of AI & ML and how best to leverage enhancing products, and internal efficiencies

- Strategic vision combined with tactical execution ability
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate complex challenges
- Adaptability and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

First 3 months: Establish comprehensive understanding of current systems and build key relationships with stakeholders.
First 6 months: Implement improvements in technology infrastructure and successfully lead key initiatives.
Beyond 6 months: Drive significant advancements in organizational technology capabilities and achieve compliance with all relevant standards.
